The Greatest Gift Project: DIY Edition
I can distinctly remember a time when I declared myself, and this blog – as having nothing to do with DIY.
But over time, I began to feel my thoughts about it change. I would look at a table in the “as-is” section of a store and decide, “oh, can make that baby shine.” And then I was making desks, and bars and more desks and so on and so on.
I realize that I have been influenced – in a good way – not in a teenagers behaving badly type of way – by the true DIY bloggers out there.
So, today, as I share the love as part of The Greatest Gift Project, I thought I would thank some of the amazing bloggers out there who inspire me to do better and try something I never before considered trying.
When I first saw this closet, I knew this girl was the real deal. She is an incredible resource of plans ideas and inspiration – if you are really looking to bring your "A” game, she is your girl.
And this bathroom had me at the wood floors. They are the original sub-floors that are temporarily being kept. If I get to vote – I say keep them that way forever. And the story of this home which was her Grandmother’s is perfection.
Don’t worry – this is the before. It is so worth going to see the after!
And speaking of bathrooms, here is a snippet of another bathroom makeover shared this week from another inspiring and talented lady.
I am beginning to think that my husband should be nervous for an upcoming bathroom remodel, but I have one more to share with you. Actually, this is just a window in a bathroom. Donna from Funky Junk always has creative and inspiring projects, but I think this one takes things to a whole new level.
Now, these are all the afters – but I have a special treat for you. Wouldn’t it be fun to follow in all the fun of a whole house, old house remodel from the beginning?
Follow along with Megan Brooke Handmade (and her sweet, cute, Red Sox loving new hubby) as they renovate this great old home.
Who is inspiring you this week?
Make sure you thank them!
Have a great weekend!
