Quick & Easy 10 Minute Decorating – Faucet Handle Pumpkins
Hello sweet friends! Today, I am sharing one of my favorite types of project - quick & easy 10 minute decorating ideas. This time, I am joined by six other bloggers and we are all sharing fall themed ideas. I started this series a few months ago because sometimes, all we have is 10 minutes to pull something together and decorate our homes. I have loved doing all of the projects and you can find all of the 10 minute decorating ideas by clicking here.
I loved my vintage doorknob pumpkins so much. So, when I was at Brimfield a few weeks ago, my eye was really drawn to these faucet handles. I knew right away I wanted to make faucet handle pumpkins.
When I found these inexpensive velvet pumpkins at Michael's, I knew they would be perfect. I love the contrast of the fancier velvet with the rustic handle. I also loved the idea of using these for the projects because even thought the glitters stems were pretty, they really weren't my style.
To make this project, you need pumpkins (obvious, I realize). Of course, any kind of fake pumpkin could be adjusted for this project. Heck, even a real one! You will also need vintage faucet handles, scissors, a hammer, twine, and a screw and bolt for each pumpkin. I also added some leather lace to one of the pumpkins (not pictured). You will also need a black marker to darken the tops of the shiny screws.
And from there, the process is pretty simple.
And that is it! I used the three pumpkins grouped together with an antler, some pine cones and feathers. I placed them on a galvanized tray as a display on my kitchen table. I love the mix of all of the fall textures and colors.
Now that you have seen my project, there 6 more for you to check out.
