So Close in So Many Ways
Summer has come to an end, the trees are starting to turn a colorful shade and we are so close.... ...so close to the fall season. ...so close to FINALLY being done with the sugar house. ...so close to freeing up my brain to spending more time here and sharing more with you about all that has been going on. And if you are still here, thank you. It means more to me than you can know. This has been one of the most overwhelming years of my life - good and stressful all mixed up into one. So mixed up in fact that sometimes it is hard to know which is which. I am sure from the outside looking in, we are reaching out for our dreams and all looks wonderful. And it is, don't get me wrong. But it is all the other things too. And I mean all of them. At times I have lost my footing and during one of those trying times, I had the opportunity to read an amazing book that helped brighten my outlook. So Close to Amazing If you have been around for any length of time, you know that KariAnne, of Thistlewood Farms, is one of my dearest blog friends and she is the best story teller around. If I have ever known anyone who was just meant to write books, KariAnne is that girl. She can spin a story, share a DIY project and decorate without breaking a nail - all while drinking a cup of black coffee with Sweet & Low. KariAnne shares the story of moving her family to Kentucky and all of the times along the way where she was just so close to be amazing, but she comes up hysterically short. She also shares some of her favorite projects from around her house. But more than the DIY projects and the funny stories, she shares her humble faith and trusting in the path that she is on. Her outlook is always that is going to work out for the best so move forward with a smile on your face (and red lipstick at all times). I hope that you will order So Close to Amazing by clicking HERE. I know it put a smile on my face while reading it and reminded me to just trust in the path with a little more faith - and that we all have a chance to be so close to amazing. And of course, you can also catch all of KariAnne's projects and stories by subscribing to her blog. ]>>
