Cleaning tips or how to clean glass is not something I really thought I would be writing about.

You see, the real cleaning pro in my family is my Mom. If you need something cleaned really well or need a stain out, put MaryAnn on it and she will get it done.

They say necessity is the mother of all invention and recently I was in need of some cleaning skills.

We had ordered glass from a local glass cutter for our desks we made from doors.

Isn’t it so pretty? And the glass so shiny clean?

Well, when we got the glass, that was not the case. There was a weird and stubborn film, almost greasy, on the glass. We used a name brand glass cleaner and paper towels – twice. Still dirty. Then we used a heavy duty degreasing spray – again, still dirty.

And then we went old school.

We mixed equal parts water to vinegar and used a microfiber cloth to scrub down the glass.

And then we used a dry cloth to wipe it down.

And it was clean.

Tips for Cleaning Glass

So after a lot of wasted time and paper towels and useless chemicals, we now have a new way to clean glass in our house.

It costs a lot less money and creates less waste and that in my book makes the BEST way to clean glass.

Wishing you a great day and thanks for reading!
