Valentine’s Day: I Love You Because…
I am a big believer in the power of words and truly believe that it is our words that can be our greatest gift to the people we love.
I have been writing this same letter to my husband for Valentine’s Day for many years now.
And I save each year to look back on - to see how things have changed and how they have stayed the same.
We say “I Love You” each day to each other.
But during Valentine’s Day – I like to take the time to tell him WHY I love him.
From the simplest of things of always remembering the things that I continually forget, or doing the laundry on the weekends, to being an amazing father and husband.
I don’t think that love should ever be taken for granted and there is value in me taking the time to think through why I love him as well as him being able to read why.
And for the last few years, I have been writing a similar version for our children as well.
And it doesn’t have to fancy or on linen paper, it just needs to be from your heart.
If you are wondering, the font I used is Callie Hand and the swirls at the bottom and for the bullets are Old Retro Labels – the letter “Z”.
How about you - want to join in? I will be using the hashtag #Iloveyoubecause between now and Valentine's day on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (LPatFindingHome).
