Decorating Ideas: Feeling the Need to Be a Little More Bold…
We have lived in our home for 12 1/2 years.
It has been almost 3 years since we started our renovation.
When we planned our renovation, I had not yet discovered blog.
Pinterest did not exist.
And I am glad for that because I know the decisions we made were true to our style.
But after 2 1/2 years of blogging and following along with Pinterest from pretty early on has definitely had an effect.
But I realized, with the exception of a whole lot of mantel changes, I have pretty much stuck with where I put things three years ago.
I have been being very safe.
The art is in the same places.
The furniture is the same places.
I think I am ready for some changes.
Especially on my walls.
I still love my wall colors, but I have a whole host of interesting things in storage that are now going ON the walls.
And I am feeling the need to be a little more bold.
Okay, maybe not that bold.
But more collected and more a reflection of us. Of the things we love.
Kind of like what I did here.
There is something about this look that has a lot of appeal…
And this picture has long appealed to me…
And maybe I will finally have the courage to put something up on the high wall in my family room or hallway.
Heck, maybe I will even move a piece of furniture.
Wouldn’t that be crazy!
I just know it is time to mix things up a little bit.
