The Power of Photography
This picture melts me.
It made all of the effort worth it.
To go back to the same place where we took pictures five years ago.
Because in a blink of an eye, we can go from this…
To this…
While we are rushing around living our lives, this…
Becomes…
The power of photography is that it can freeze moments, grab an experience and save it for yourself and future generations.
But it is especially powerful when it captures more than the just outside…
It grabs pieces of personality
and the bond that can be found between people, especially fathers and their daughters.
It can balance that delicate line of little girl and grown up.
I am so thankful that we took the time to capture this point in our lives. This was more intentional than the everyday candid shots, but it was done with ease and with fun.
It seems like today being Labor day is causing me to think so much about time. It is such a marker – end of summer. It really feels like it was just Memorial Day.
I certainly don’t know how to slow it down, so I guess the best we can do is enjoy the journey.
Thanks so much for reading and allowing me to share part of our story.
