Summer Home tour

So, if you haven’t already heard, the ever so sweet Gina from Shabby Creek Cottage is hosting a party today - a summer home tour party. So I thought I would join along.

Our summers are probably just like yours. We slow down and linger outside longer.

The front of our house is a little more colorful.

And, we tend to get pretty patriotic.

Even in our entry foyer.

The guest room is spruced up in hopes of many summer visitors.

And our kitchen becomes more about simpler meals, grilling and veggies from our garden.

Our family room is filled with more yellows, brighter colors and fresh flowers.

Our dining room is now all fancy with a new fabulous rug from Dash & Albert and plenty of fresh flowers.

Our office has a new colorful spot to hang out in.

But most of our time is spent in our backyard.

We spend so much time out here, even as the nights become cooler. So we keep a basket of old quilts ready to snuggle in.
