Randomness
I often see random list of things in a post from different bloggers, and today, here is mine.
Life right now is about my family. Summer.
As I mentioned last week, we have a ton of birthdays in the first week of August, we are almost through them all.
There was pie, cake and ice cream.
There was presents, family, fun and rain.
Can you see how much it is raining in the background of this picture.
We were even more thankful for our screened porch that night.
Our dear friends returned home from a six week RV tour of the country with four boys! They had an amazing time. We are so glad to have them home.
There was soccer camp in the pouring rain. That seemed to be a big hit.
And it is time to say good-bye to a best friend.
My Blondie’s best friend is moving to Ohio.
So, there have been sleepovers and feathers put in their hair. BFF necklaces shared.
And the highlight – I took them and Peanut the other night to see Selena Gomez.
This is how they were all night. Pulled so hard at my heart.
I guess because I already know how rare it is to find someone who you really click with, whose family you mesh with.
This girl will surely be missed.
We were lucky enough to be escorted by some fabulous ladies (Thanks Vicki, Kim and Wendy!) and their amazing group of kids.
We had never been to this venue before and they gave us the low down and showed us the way.
We were at Bethel Woods which is an amazing outdoor concert hall that is built on the original grounds of the 1969 Woodstock festival. It was a great experience.
They took a while to warm up. This was the first concert for each of them. (Sorry for the grainy photos, I opted to just use my phone and not deal with keeping track of my camera).
We brought glow sticks and by the end of the concert they were on their feet and really getting the true concert experience.
It was priceless for me.
Throughout the whole night, Peanut kept looking at me and just smiling. Every time she melted me. She thanked me so many times. This girl is just a love.
Tomorrow is the last day with a best friend. Uggh.
Most of you are winding down with your summers.
For us, July is about camps and running around to different things.
August, is the down time, time at the beach.
We feel like we are just getting started.
For the first time in several years, school does not start until after Labor Day this year, so we have the whole month of August.
But, I still can hear it calling.
The end of summer is in sight.
Uggh.
There are lots of projects in the works.
Enough to keep me going right through till the Holidays.
But, for now, it is about Family and Summer.
Thanks for stopping by friends!
