Kids Crafts: Watercolor (And the gift of bonus time!)
As many of us are at this time of year, spring sports are in full gear for us. Both of my girls play softball, which leaves most nights filled.
So tonight when rain cancelled both games – I must admit, I did a little happy dance inside.
Time was given back – a little gift to the evening. And hubby surprisingly got home early from work.
It was a good night. With an early dinner.
Which meant – after dinner, we could take a little time for crafts. Something I don’t make enough time for.
Last week, I was in Target and saw these in their craft section and I just couldn’t pass them up.
I must admit, I can not think of the last time I used watercolor paint and it just drew me right in.
And then a good friend stopped by to pick something up, and she stayed and laughed and painted too.
And we have pretty art to show for our night.
But even better, it was a memory making night that I am so thankful for.
There were no phones, or internet or televisions.
And for just a short while we all just were together.
And I am so thankful that I made it a priority. I am so thankful I went down that aisle at Target last week. Ok, I am always thankful for Target. But this was extra special!
Oh, and speaking of making pretty things – did you know Mother’s Day is right around the corner?
Well, tomorrow I will be participating in a webinar hosted by Hometalk and KariAnne of Thistlewood Farms. I will be joined by the lovely ladies from Nellie Bellie, All Things Heart & Home and Mrs. Hines Class to share some simple and fun handmade gardening gifts for Mother’s Day.
I will be sharing how to make a Fairy Garden – and how to really customize for a gift (and maybe not be quite so large). Here is the one the girls and I made last year.
I would love if you joined us (and sent some positive mojo since I am so nervous!). It is at 2:00 EST tomorrow, April 30th. Follow the link here!
Thanks so much for reading!
