Extra tables are placed on the porch – and children are resting because they truly have been a major help getting ready these last few days.

Umbrellas are up and the pool is clean (a little extra work after all the leaves and branches that blew in after the crazy storms last night).

Hubby took the day off which is especially nice since he didn’t get home till 3 a.m. because of flight delays from those crazy storms.

Puppy is resting up for a weekend with a friend – a little too crazy for her with a lot of people and a pool.

The girls rooms are neat and clean and extra beds are made up.

The food is all cooked or prepped, the house is clean – company staying clean. And within a few short hours, 13 of my favorite people will be filling our home with laughter and memories.

I always wonder what is better – doing all the cleaning and cooking or doing all the driving. Usually we drive to them, but this weekend we are so excited that our college friends are coming here with their families.

I had a three roommates in college – three of us married three roommates.

I know weird. But great because my friends are the same as my hubby’s friends.

The fourth one married her high school sweetheart and we have known and loved him just as long.

We all lived in the same dorm at college, and here we are all these years later – a group of 17 when all present and accounted for.

(You can read more about that here)

If you have been reading my blog for a bit, you know I am talking about my Betties.

So, I am going to finally get myself in the shower and take a few minutes to take a breath and count my blessings before all the fun begins.

Wishing you a weekend spent with people who love you fully as you are!
