Findings 2
Hello sweet friends! I hope this Saturday finds you well and with perfect weekend plans. Sometimes those plans mean lots of fun things and sometimes they mean lots of nothing! We have some fun plans around here. This week, Dana and I celebrated 20 years of marriage and we are sneaking away, just for one night. Lucky for us, my parents are stepping in to stay with the girls! I am just looking for some uninterrupted time with my hubby! The last few weeks have been so busy - I thought I would catch you all up on a few things. Last week, the floor was poured in sugar house and the gravel driveway was installed. Actually, it happened on the same day, which was a bit stressful but worked out just fine. These were the two final steps to getting everything pulled together. Next week, all the equipment will be able to be moved back in and we will be ready to go. The online store is still in the works, but coming soon! I am going to be doing updates and some giveaways on Instagram as we move through the process, so be sure to follow on Instagram so you don't miss out! (I am LPatFindingHome). This summer, I shared how things were concerning with Bailey Rose and the new member of our family, Hannah. Well, to update you, things are going quite well now. Bailey is back to her old self but it is quite apparent that she is no longer a puppy now that we have Hannah in the house. One thing is still for sure, if you start petting Hannah, Bailey will quickly suggest that you pet her instead. And for all of you that helped with picking Hannah's middle name, we have officially named her Hannah Mae. Although, truth be told, we still call her Hannah Banana, or just Banana, most of the time. I know most things around here are maple, home decor and DIY - but I totally have to share this new beauty product with you. I recently splurged and bought this eye shadow set. It was a lot, but it should last a long time and I love the color options. I have not really ever bought "good" eye shadow before and I have discovered it clearly makes a difference. But what really rocks my world is this primer that came as a sample with it. Seriously, game changing! My eye shadow and liner stayed perfect all day. I don't think that has ever happened before. I don't mean to be jumping the gun on Christmas, but I found this Advent calendar and really liked how different it is. And because my blogger mind is incapable of starting to think about Christmas decorating, I am totally crushing on this garland and these candlesticks. And if you are going to be doing some online shopping this weekend, Pottery Barn has a ton of stuff on sale for Columbus day. But just so you know, I am still thinking about Halloween and these adorable pumpkins. If you are a blogger, or if you are interested in bloggers, you might find this post refreshing and interesting. It is written my the sweet Susie Harris who also happens to have a beautiful shop filled with her custom signs. I have my eye on her "This Little Light of Mine" sign for my daughter's room. My friend Trish's sweet daughter shared a super cute halloween costume idea for your dolls - stop on by to see her fun costume. And I am super excited to report that we have finished our garage organization / create a DIY workshop project! I will be pulling it all together over the next week or so and I will let you know when it is on The Home Depot's blog. Be sure to stop back Monday where I will be sharing Halloween party ideas with the coolest new products! Wishing you a great weekend and as always, thanks for reading!
