Available Position: Sugarhouse Barista
Status: Part-time, Weekday and Weekend Availability
Job Description:
Finding Home Farms is looking for a Barista for our new cafe. The Barista will prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, in addition to serving prepared food. Barista responsibilities include operating coffee machinery, taking customers orders, using a POS software system, and educating customers on our business. We are seeking a candidate who has strong customer service skills and knowledge or experience in cafe or restaurant operations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and take food and beverage orders
- Prepare beverages following recipes
- Heat and serve pastries, and make waffles to order
- Receive and process payments
- Keep the coffee bar and cafe area clean
- Stock, organize, price inventory in retail shop
- Keep the cafe clean throughout shift
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Learn about our company and speak to customers about our operations
Skills + Abilities:
- Previous work experience as a Barista or Server preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of brewing equipment preferred, but not required
- Strong sense of hospitality and desire to achieve high levels of customer service
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Keep calm in a fast-paced work environment.
- Effective listening skills to ensure customer orders are correct
- Maintain an organized and tidy work space
Shift availability:
- Must be available to work weekends, day shifts and closing shifts (9pm in summer, 7pm rest of the year)
Available Position: Prep Cook / Kitchen Associate
Status: Part-time, 3 days a week, 6 am to 1pm shift
Job Description:
Finding Home Farms is looking for a candidate for a Prep Cook / Kitchen Associate.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use. Measure and portion ingredients accurately to meet recipe specifications.
- Prepare mixes, sauces, and other base components for use in the cooking process.
- Cleans kitchen after preparation, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficency. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
- Properly label and store prepped ingredients to ensure freshness and ease of use.
- Performs a weekly deep clean of the kitchen
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate prep activities and ensure a smooth flow of operations.
