Christmas Decorating: Silver & Gold Candle Plate

I have brought a lot of red, with touches of black and white in our home this Christmas. I even brought them outside.

But I was starting to feel the need for a little bit of silver, and a little bit of gold.

And so I decided to make a candle plate.

And then I remembered that it usually works out that I am a craft hoarder.

Seriously, I am thinking it is possible that I bought these plain glass plates more than 10 years ago.

I coated the underside of plates with Krylon Looking Glass Spray – following the directions on the can.

And then I added gold glitter to the edge of the plate and then used a stencil to adhere glue and glitter in a snowflake pattern.

I grouped it with a few other Christmas items, added some candles, added some greenery and ornaments and it is all set to go.

And it is just the little touches of silver and gold that I needed.

And if you would like to see more ideas on ways to use Krylon looking glass paint, today is your lucky day. I am lucky enough to be part of a whole group of bloggers sharing their projects today.

It all starts with Beckie of Infarrantly Creative

And the next stop is Gina of The Shabby Creek Cottage.

Thanks so much for reading.
