The Art of Home

I can’t deny it.  I love summer.  And the summer of 2015 was epic for us, but more on that later.  But fall is my jam.  I love the air.  I love the color.  I love burning candles.  I love cooking more and enjoying the end of the summer harvest.   And I really, truly, down to my toes, enjoy freshening up my home, making it cozier and ready for a fall and winter of nesting.

Oh and sweaters.  And jeans.  And cute boots.  Don’t you just love to start dressing for cooler weather?

And if you are like me and feeling the same way, but maybe you are looking for a little direction and inspiration, then today is your lucky day!  Do you know Bree from Rooms for Rent?  Well she is just about the sweetest, most gorgeous and talented lady in blogland.  I had the pleasure of having lunch with her this summer in one of my favorite places on earth, Portsmouth, NH.  While we chatted over insanely yummy breakfast dishes, she shared with me a project she is sharing this fall.

Bree is joining a group of talented ladies, all hosted by the amazing Jeanne Oliver (one of my favorite bloggers both for her style and her grace!) to share The Art of Home | Modern Simple Living.  This is a four-week video class all about returning to the traditions of creating a home which truly is an art.

The course is broken out by four weeks, with a different topic for each week.

Week 1 : The Art of Home | Farm to Table – This week is all about gardening, cooking and preserving food.

Week Two : The Art of Home | Gathering – This week is all about opening your home and creating a space where people feel loved and special.

Week Three : The Art of Home | Domestic Moxie – This week is all about creative and fun ways to keep your home.

Week Four : The Art of Home | Reclaimed Style – This week is all about using what you have and finding new uses for found objects.

I have been blogging for five years now and have completed and shared many projects across all of these categories, but I am still so excited with the idea of just sitting, watching and visiting with each of these ladies to hear their ideas and be inspired and revitalized.
