KitchenHerbGardenFindingHome_thumb.jpg It is the first day of spring break around here and I could not be happier about it. Right now, everything is “mud” color, but the weather forecast leads me to believe it is only a matter of a week or two before there will be hints of color in our daily view. In the meantime, I will think about pulling out our backyard kitchen herb garden in just a few weeks.. Our spring break will be a mix of working and fun. With it so early this year, there is still a lot of syrup to be made so we can not travel. I have a few work projects that have lined up such that I will need to work some as well. We are going to try and balance that all out with some day trips and maybe a few dinners out. I can tell you this, spring break 2017 had better be ready for me. It is much later and sugaring will be over so that we can take a trip! Here are the top 5 things I am looking forward to when the weather changes: 1 - Getting back on our screened porch Greenspraypaintedfurniture_thumb.jpg 2 - Hosting friend and family outdoors and using our beverage bar DIYUpcycledBeverageBarStation_thumb.jpg 3 - Wearing sandals and shorts! That is after I have managed a pedicure and my legs have seen at least a little bit of sunshine! 4 - Getting back out to our newly organized garage and workshop. It has been too cold for projects and I can't wait to get back to it. OrganizingYourGarageWorkshop.jpg 5 - Planning and starting on our vegetable garden. When we built the sugar house, it took over half of our garden. Last year there was no time to get in back in shape, but I am hoping this year we will be able to rework it and have some fresh veggies around here again. And as always, I have been inspired and entertained from so many different things around the web this week. Here are my latest findings... If haven't seen this dollhouse yet, you must! Thank you to Country Living for sharing my Easter table. I am loving this idea for an Easter table from Uncommon Designs how-to-make-birds-nest-napkin-rings-uncommon-designs-650x433 Julie Blanner shares the most beautiful and elegant Easter centerpieces all using grocery store flowers. This spring home tour makes me say, "aaahhhhh." This video just makes me go "wow." This kid melts me. The confidence and style of this kid is epic. Such a cool and humbling reminder that our children learn from what we do. As always, thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a great weekend. Quickpen-Signature_edited-1
