Have you started Christmas decorating yet?

I have not. Well, not really.

I have most things figured out in my head. But the difference this year – the goal, is for it not be total chaos in the process.

Do you think that is possible?

I am trying to get organized first. Put all fall away, first.

Heck, we even spent all of Saturday organizing and cleaning the garage. I have convinced myself that with a plan in hand and a more organized home, it will be done quicker and with less stress.

I really hope I am right.

One of my plans this year is to try and use mostly what I already have, and if I am buying something new, that it is not just a Christmas item. Of course, there will be a few exceptions!

So, with that in mind, I thought I would share with you some ideas from one of our sponsors, Farmhouse Wares. They carry some lovely items for Christmas, that will get you all the way through the winter and some things year round.

I love this ornament set. You can never go wrong with chalkboard, but the tin frame is perfect! They are great for you tree now, or placed anywhere around the house. After Christmas, they are perfect in a pantry, a mudroom or even a wall decoration. They come in a set of six.

And speaking of chalkboards, how cute is this sign – already done, no art skill required? This sign will work all the way through the winter as well.

This coat rack is a perfect detail year round, but brings in some Christmas spirit. Hang a few ornaments, (or even a lovely chalkboard sign) and you are set for the holidays. I love the contrast of the silver finish with the rustic antlers!

And speaking of deer, the simplicity of this pillow with the grain sack details is beautiful for a simple touch on a sofa or chair.

And another favorite is this candle lantern. Put in a red candle, place some greenery around it and it is perfect for Christmas. Come January, switch to a white candle and is perfect on its own. When summer comes around, add some shells and votive candles…well, you get the idea.
