Decorating Our DIY Playhouse & Pool House For Our Teens
So, this one was a really long time in coming.
You see, we built (by we, I mean Hubby) ourselves. But this is not the story of a quick DIY project, but it is our DIY and we love it
We used as many salvaged and vintage pieces as we could when we started building three years ago. The story of the building of the playhouse, can be found here.
Now, a year after the structure was complete, I have finally finished decorating it.
Come on in!
Wicker Chandelier
Did you ever do a project that you really just love?
Did you ever love it so much, that you thought maybe you should share it again?
Maybe you are new around here and you never saw our wicker chandelier on our porch.
What I love the best about this project is that anyone can do it and the materials can so easily be found.
The story of a gallery wall & a brooklyn bank

So, if you have read this blog for any length of time, you already know that I love a good story.
A story about a person, how they got to be where they are. The story of their journey.
Heck, that is what I am trying to do here – share the story of our journey.
But, I must admit, I also love the story behind an item.
Where did it come from? Who made it? How did you find it?
Just this weekend I saw this amazing sign in a vendor’s booth. I asked her what the story was.
She didn’t know.
I lost interest.
She should probably make up a really good one.
How to Update Vintage Jewelry
This is a sponsored post, but all opinion are my own.
A few years ago I started to notice that every time I shopped for casual jewelry, I could not find what I wanted. I liked some parts of new and some parts of vintage. So I began dabbling with making my own – mixing new and vintage.
So when the opportunity came about to do a project for Martha Stewart Jewelry I jumped at the chance.
The first thing I was excited about was all the tools. But, I will admit, I did not really get the silicone mat at first.
Now, I want to be the president of its fan club.
