DIY Wall Art - Yardstick Star
I created this project for Christmas originally, but I think it is perfect for year round. Of course, you will have to excuse that all of the pictures are from Christmas time - but you get the idea!
A DIY star made from yardsticks - an easy and quick DIY wall art project.
Easy Sharpie Art Christmas Ornament

Yesterday, I shared a quick and pretty ornament idea, and today’s project– a Sharpie art Christmas ornament, literally takes about 1 minute each.
And, no art skills needed.
Outdoor Christmas Decorating: Reclaimed Wood Reindeer
The other night, we were all in the car driving home and it started.
We started to sing Christmas carols.
I know its early. But it was so much fun. And the only one we all remembered all the words to...Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.
What is it about him that we all love so much?
And I couldn’t be happier with our version – a reclaimed wood reindeer.
As soon as I saw this picture in the Sundance catalog, I knew it was the perfect use for the reclaimed wood we still had from my Grandfather’s house…

Christmas Decorating: DIY Magnolia Wreath
Hi! It's me again...
...Melissa from over at DaisyMaeBelle.
Thanks, Laura for having me back to share another wreath with y'all!
I love how Laura talks about the journey that we're all on...
...I remember my mom making wreaths when I was little.
She
would stand in front of her stand (made by my dad especially for wreath
making) with her hot glue gun in hand, wire snips and piles of silk
flowers.
We always had beautiful wreaths all around our house.
She made them for friends and neighbors... She made them for gifts... She even sold them in a store for a bit.
So how appropriate that on my journey, one of my favorite things to share is wreaths. :)
Today I'm going to show you how to make this Magnolia Wreath.

Easy DIY Outdoor Fall Sign (really, it is super easy!)
This post is sponsored by 3M, however all opinions are my own.
As fall comes in, I am hanging on like crazy to keep spending time outside. So, I thought I would bring a little fall touch to screened porch with an easy DIY outdoor fall sign. And when I say easy, it really is. If you can trace a line - you can do this!
I have had this old cabinet door, bought at a yard sale, for a million years. It was $5 and I knew as soon as I saw it, it would be perfect to create a sign.
Upcycled Vintage Door Beverage Bar Station

Today, I am sharing an upcycled vintage door beverage bar.
So the summer weather is winding down in our area here. The windows are open and the air is letting us know it is coming to an end.
But that doesn't mean I am ready to go inside yet. I am hoping to still use our porch into the fall, just start to wrap ourselves in quilts and blankets. For the past two years since we have had our porch, we were hit with a hurricane at the end of the summer season. We had to quickly "batten down the hatches" and get ready for the storm. We closed up early and didn't open again till spring.
This year, I am really hoping to be able to use the space well into the fall, have friends over, share meals. And what better way to to do that then with a fun beverage station.
Technically, this could also be considered a potting station, but I am just being honest here, for us, it is a beverage bar. It is perfect for our screened porch. Every time we had people over, I was bringing a folding card table out here for drinks. Not only did it not look cute, but it was always an awkward height to serve from.
Now, we have the perfect space to serve drinks for the whole crowd.
Gilded And Filled Lamp
What? Again with a Christmas post in August?
I know.
But this time it was a contest that I just couldn’t pass up.
Lamps Plus and Hometalk asked some bloggers to take this lamp
and create a project that is themed for the December holidays.
My first thought was painting all of the silver parts gold.
How to Update Vintage Jewelry
This is a sponsored post, but all opinion are my own.
A few years ago I started to notice that every time I shopped for casual jewelry, I could not find what I wanted. I liked some parts of new and some parts of vintage. So I began dabbling with making my own – mixing new and vintage.
So when the opportunity came about to do a project for Martha Stewart Jewelry I jumped at the chance.
The first thing I was excited about was all the tools. But, I will admit, I did not really get the silicone mat at first.
Now, I want to be the president of its fan club.
Easy Watercolor Art Using Painter’s Tape
Sometimes a project should just be easy and simple. So, last Saturday morning, we once again broke out the watercolor paints. I kind of have a thing for watercolor paint these days.
There is just something so soft, ethereal and elementary about it.
And so, while my girl Peanut painted a picture of a doll (she is obviously more talented that I am!), I decided to try an easy canvas for our office gallery wall.
Nailhead Trim Upholstered Table
I have a reputation.
It is true.
A reputation for being willing to take in long forgotten items with a little wear, maybe even some rust.
In fact, just this Sunday, as we went to leave the church parking lot – a friend stopped her car and waved me down so her husband could give me the old metal bucket he had saved for me.
It was one of the sweetest things someone had done for me in a long time.
Printer's Box Word Art
Sometimes projects are really hard and time consuming.
But this project – Printer’s Box Word Art – was as easy as it gets.
The only time consuming part was figuring out the easiest way to do it.
