Halloween Decorating – Quick & Easy
Quick & Easy Halloween Decorating
Sometimes, I tend to over complicate things.
Sometimes, when I take on a project – there is a tornado in my wake and then I am overwhelmed.
But, sometimes, I am in Target and see this package (for $5!)…
…and I have a quick and easy idea.
Fall Decorating: Updated Kitchen Garden
The reality is, this year, our garden challenged us greatly.
We battled too much rain and an attack of squash bugs.
When I started to think about our fall decorating, I knew I wanted to take the few pumpkins and gourds that made it and display them proudly.
Our kitchen garden is right outside of our kitchen and visible from all parts of the kitchen and the family room, so I decided it would be the perfect place for us to enjoy the fruits of my husband’s labor (he really took the lead on the garden this year).
Easy DIY Outdoor Fall Sign (really, it is super easy!)
This post is sponsored by 3M, however all opinions are my own.
As fall comes in, I am hanging on like crazy to keep spending time outside. So, I thought I would bring a little fall touch to screened porch with an easy DIY outdoor fall sign. And when I say easy, it really is. If you can trace a line - you can do this!
I have had this old cabinet door, bought at a yard sale, for a million years. It was $5 and I knew as soon as I saw it, it would be perfect to create a sign.
Fall Decorating - DIY Reclaimed Wood Pumpkins
Hello fine friends.
I love nothing better than to create something new that would have otherwise ended up in the trash. And that is truly the case with my reclaimed wood pumpkins.
Do you happen to know what a squash bug is?
I do.
They are nasty little creatures that we have battled for years and they destroy all of our vine plants in our garden. And if a pumpkin or two manages to survive the onslaught of these buggers, then the rabbits eat them up.
So this year, I decided to be ready. If no pumpkins make it, no worries, I am making my own.
Easy Fall Decorating Updates (And a Giveaway!)
Fall decorating is my favorite - it is just when we start nestling in for the cooler weather - but it is not as complicated as Christmas decorating can be.
Last week, I shared our home all decked out for fall.
One of the easiest rooms I pulled together was our living room. With some subtle changes, we went from a "summer feel" to a "fall feel".

And here is my project. I created a Mod Podge branch silhouette. I know, I live in NY, but my heart – my heart is in NH.

Ouch.

I love to decorate for fall – so much in fact that I have joined up with 15 fabulous bloggers for a fall home tour!
