International Women's Day

We are always in the mood for celebrating and sharing some positivity, and today is no different. What is the significance of today you ask? Well, we have a little extra pep in our step this Monday because it is International Women's Day!

Not only are we a small-business located in the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York, we are a women-owned small business. With less than 10 employees and of course our two lovable female dogs, half of our staff is made up of women, one being myself as part-owner. Just recently, my husband and I awarded each of our daughters a percentage of the business ownership, making it official that Finding Home Farms is majority owned by women!

We are so thrilled about this news and wanted to share it with you all on this day of celebration as women continue to forge for more equality in society.

This year‚ the theme for International Women's Day is said to be: Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world. It is no secret that 2020 was a challenging year for many, but it is days like this that I like to reflect and acknowledge all the things to be grateful for and continue to look ahead toward the future.

Not only did we want to share the news of our ownership and what that may mean for the future of Finding Home Farms, we also wanted to highlight some of our wonderful female employees and women that we partner with, including our friends Lisa and Stephanie from Cedar Lakes Estate.
