A few weeks back I was contacted by the lovely Kelly at Eclectically Vintage, asking me if I wanted to participate in a new project she was working on with a few fellow bloggers.

So, I am going to be totally honest here, I am not good at these type of things, and frankly, the reality is, maybe I haven’t been very good at being a very “social” blogger.

It is not because I don’t want to, or because I don’t think there are so many people who I want to be blog friends with.

It just seem I have been unable to bridge that gap.

Part of it, I realize, is that as I have gotten older, I am a little slower to let people in, a little more wary (not that you are anything to be wary of – just habits form), and as a Mom and wife, I don’t always make the time.

This is something I very much want to change.

So, when Kelly asked me to be part of the

Eclectically VintageI pushed past my feelings of reluctance and said yes!

This was going to be my chance to really interact with other bloggers and I am so glad that I said yes.

But the hard part – now I had to put myself out there and find two other people to say “YES”.

Talk about feeling like being lined up to picked in gym and pretty sure you weren’t going to be picked.

Well, luckily I did (more on that in a moment).

So, here is how the project works, you are sent two gifts, one for yourself and one to pass on to a friend, then you you send two gifts to each of two other bloggers. They in turn, keep one, pass one to a friend, find two more bloggers….you get the picture!

It is really about bloggers interacting!

So, the other day I opened a lovely package in the mail from Kelly and here is what I found…

I could have taken my own photos, but really, Kelly’s were so lovely, why fix it if it ain’t broke?!

She made homemade bath salts in a vintage canning jar and then included a lovely stamped vintage spoon with the word “relax” for scooping out the bath salts.

I am feeling like a very lucky lady.

My next bath will be extra relaxing!

Thank you Kelly!

(as a side note, Kelly is now selling stamped vintage silverware)

So, I actually have been working on my gifts on and off for a few weeks, and my dining room has taken the hit!

I keep going back, making changes, trying to decide what is just right.

I really wanted my gift to have a personal side to them for my recipients and I certainly hope they like them.

I finally finished today, just have to write a note to go with them, and then I will be sending packages out to:

Laura at Ms. Smartie Pants

and

Becky at Farmgirl Paints

I look forward to telling you more about why I chose these ladies and how excited I was that they chose to participate.

How about you, are you really not interacting as much as you would like, go ahead, participate - anyone can join!

As always, thanks so much for reading!
