Halloween Treats

As I have mentioned, I am having a home sale this week, Home and Harvest.

I have spent the last several weeks putting together some items for the sale.

I already shared my Halloween Wreaths with you.

So, now, I thought I would share my Halloween Crafts since Kate is having a Fall Crafts link party, I thought I would share both of them tonight.

For my first project, I was originally inspired by Pottery Barn.

I started with a hat found at Party City and a candle pedestal found at a discount store.

I attached the hat at angle (after the hat was assembled) using hot glue.

I used a black and white houndstooth ribbon around the base as the first step.

Then I continued with some fabric flowers in orange and black (orange is really hard to photograph I have found!) and then I layered in sparkly branches (from floral picks), glitter leaves (also from floral picks), black feathers, and then I added the spider, crow and rat on top.

Here is a view from the other side.

I think it makes a fun table top display that is something a little different.

For this one, I started with a long vintage black glove. I had purchased a box lot at an auction, and this lone glove was in with a bunch of other ones.

I stuffed the glove and put pipe cleaners in the fingers so they would be somewhat moldable.

This picture shows the underside to see it better.

I sewed the glove closed and then I added a ruffled orange tulle fabric, glittered ribbon to the bottom.

Then I layered ribbon around the “wrist” and “finger”.

This gives a picture of the glove standing up.

I will not deny, this was really hard to get a decent photo of.

Then, like above, I started with a fabric flower, this one alternating between black silk and the orange tulle.

I also did a ruffled effect below the flower.

And then the layering began - sparkly branches, glittered leaves and black feathers.

I topped it off with a small crow and the crowning jewel, a spider ring.
