IMG_8990 Happy Saturday to you sweet friends! I hope this post finds you well! Today I am sharing another addition of Findings. The first one is finding my first freelance job in print! You can find it in the current issue of Make it Yourself on stands now! IMG_8992 After I worked with an editor for the Christmas craft issue they contacted me about putting together a turquoise and red chalkboard tablescape. I was so excited but a little unsure of how to go about it. You see, I made the pieces and parts without actually seeing the table or space where it would go. I shipped all of the items to their studios and then their talented team really pulled it all together and styled it. IMG_8993 It was initially a bit disconcerting, but now that I have done it, I so hope to have the chance to do it again. After I got started, they asked if I would also like to add a kid’s table and that is my favorite part! I made the tree on the table, the place settings with the chalk and cookie cutter for drawing on the placemats and the ornament gifts. IMG_8994 One of the things I really like about Make It Yourself is that in the back they include all of the step-by-step instructions for the projects along with any necessary templates. You can find all of the details to make your own projects. IMG_8995 A special thanks to Elmer’s for sending me a ton of their chalk foam boards to experiment with and make some of the projects with. And a shoutout to Onlinefabricstore.com for their awesome selection of oilcloth and chalkcloth that I used in several projects. I can not deny – it is pretty cool to see your name in a magazine! IMG_8996 Did you know that my Joss & Main Holiday Hostess sale is still in full swing. I ordered three things for myself already! Stop by and get yourself ready for the holidays! _SITE_large (2) Okay, seriously, enough about me! What else do I have to share with you today… Still trying to figure out what to do with your pumpkin? Visit these pumpkin ideas, one of them will surely inspire you! I love my white mantel, but I am totally crushing on all of these ideas for wood mantels. Take a few minutes to make this now, and then you can just drop it on your table for Thanksgiving and look fancy! Speaking of Thanksgiving, I am loving this tablecloth idea! Could someone please invite me to a Halloween party, because this is the perfect costume for me and my hubby!? (In case you didn’t know, Hubby grew up on a dairy farm) Speaking of Halloween parties, did you guys see the amazing new party products from Command? Seriously brilliant! Oh yeah, there is also a free printable banner to make party throwing even easier! I have not seen a wreath like this before and I am kinda crushing on it. I can see it all dressed up in so many ways, or just leaving it simple and clean. Thanks so much for reading! Newpostsignature_thumb.jpg
