Free Printable Holiday Gift Tags & Christmas Ornaments
Each year as I start thinking about decorating for Christmas, it always starts with the colors. I always consider neutrals, but in the end I know that I am just not a neutral girl. One of these days I think I will go all crazy and bright, but this year I decided on green and blue, with little pops of red (because you have to have some red!) and touches of black and white. And of course, lots of evergreen and rustic wood touches. This week I began working on my first project for the holidays, free printable holiday gift tags and Christmas ornaments. I started by just doing gift tags but I had so much fun putting them together that I kept going and made ornaments as well. I am absolutely smitten with them. I am not ready to start decorating just yet, but I am really starting to look forward it! There are snowflakes and mason jar snow globes. And of course, there are sweet deer faces as well. There are a total of 12 tags and 6 ornaments, each a little bit different. For the tags, I printed them on some nice textured paper that had a linen like finish and cut each one out. I have some small detail scissors that made it go pretty quickly. Then I punched a hole in the top and strung through some black and white bakers' twine. Or, as you can see on the box, I looped the tag right through some gingham ribbon. For the ornaments, I followed the same idea. I printed them, cut them and then strung gingham ribbon through them. I may added some patterned paper to the back with a glue stick. I am thinking a black and white stripe would look really pretty. I intended these as ornaments, but I think they would work really well as gift tags as well. I got a little fancier with the dear on this one because, well, because I just couldn't help myself. I just love taking the time to made holiday gifts for friends and family just a little bit extra special. A simple ribbon, a tag and a little sprig of greenery and you have the holidays in your hands! Or, you can try it right on one of our holiday candles (wink, wink!) for a perfect and thoughtful gift! And not only am I sharing gift tags and ornaments today - but I have joined a whole bunch of my blogging friends to share more holiday printables, hosted by the lovely Ella Claire. There are gift tags, pictures to put right into a frame, a banner and even a make-your-own Christmas village. Does it get any better than that?
