Repurposed-Vintage-Toolbox-Upcycled It has long been established that I have a bit of an obsession with vintage toolboxes. I remember the day I found this one so clearly. It was about 13 years ago. There was a vintage "shop", and I use that term loosely, that didn't last long and that was the only time I went. When she told me the price, I thought I misheard her and I tried my very best to keep a straight face. And then I did a happy dance in the parking lot. Upcycled-Vintage-Toolbox-Shelf-Towel-Bar-Hanger This toolbox has been on my dining table, on top of my hutch and in my kitchen. It has been filled with flowers, pumpkins and Christmas decorations over the years. And now, it is a vintage toolbox towel bar. I think she has found her true destiny. Vintage-Tool-Box-Towel-Bar-Shelf I have wanted to use a toolbox on a wall for years, but I had never figured just the right way to do it. Recently, I set about refreshing our guest bath. While I was working on it and "shopping my house", it dawned on me how perfect it would be. And so, my daughter had to stand in the bathroom, holding the toolbox on the wall while I stepped back and tilted my head and realized it would really work! I know it is not most people' taste, but I simply love the way it looks and the repurposed utility of it. And that was just the beginning of spruce ups in our guest bathroom. Vintage-Farmhouse-Bathroom-Decorating A vintage galvanized washboard became a quite effective towel holder. Guest-Bathroom-Easy-Updates-with-Wayfair_edited-1 I put together a video with Wayfair sharing how I did it and a few more details.
