If you are just joining us today from the previous stop, East Coast Creative, welcome – I so appreciate you coming by!

I am so excited to be part of the Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours being hosted by the lovely Lindsay of the White Buffalo Styling Co.

I shared our Christmas decorating from the rest of the house, and truth be told, I am a pretty traditional girl. But in our home office / craft room / homework space, I definitely went the route of more colorful Christmas decorating.

Now as much as I did go the direction of color, this room is really all about being a ribbon hoarder and a tree that needed some serious “jacking up”.

Have you ever watched “Say Yes to the Dress – Atlanta”?

You know, right when they are trying to make that decision, is this the dress or not? Then they decide to push them over the edge and add the veil and the jewelry.

This girl needed a whole lot of veil and a whole lot jewelry.

But first, the ribbon hoard.

When I found this neon wrapping paper in the Motherland, also known as Target, I remembered my vintage neon ribbon. Which of course, the only way I even knew I had it was by finally organizing all of my ribbon. I seriously have had this years.

And somehow, little old traditional “red and greens’ Christmas me, decided to bring a little bit of neon to our office space.

There is already a whole lot of color going on in this room, so it really was just about a few little extra touches on the desk.

I felt compelled to fill my favorite vintage truck with some disco ball ornaments.

And a simple garland, found at Target, strung above the other desks.

I strung some vintage metal sock stretchers on the craft cabinet and added a few brightly colored reindeer, also from the Motherland, a.k.a. Target.

And added a colorful nativity scene, from you guessed it, Target, on the coffee table.

But the tree, the tree needed great amounts of “jacking”

Have you ever bought something for Christmas, in January, on major clearance and you are so excited because it is something you really wanted. But then, when you put it up the next December it is the saddest thing you ever saw?

But a bunch of clearance white floral picks at the craft store, a whole lot of white ribbon strung throughout…

A few glittered foam shapes from the craft store strung up with the neon ribbon, a healthy amount of blingy disco balls,…

…and a few porcelain ornaments decorated with markers and glitter, and this girl was ready to shine.

Let’s admit it, we all need a little bit of “jacking up” from time to time.
